Ronald Wendel, Jr. CPA, CGMA, Vice President of Finance and Administration, is responsible for the Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Procurement and Information Technology functions for the Port of New Orleans. Wendel holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans and is a licensed CPA. Wendel joined the Port in 2015 with over 30 years of practice in accounting coupled with an extensive knowledge in financing, mergers and acquisitions and risk management. Prior to joining the Port, Wendel worked in the banking, real estate, manufacturing, mining and hospitality industries, including having vast experience directing human resource and information technology functions. In November 2017, Wendel was appointed to the board of the Louisiana Asset Management Pool (LAMP), Louisiana’s $1.6 billion cash investment fund for Louisiana public entities.
